An Example of Both Modern and Post Modern:
Rothko's works vs. Lichtenstein's works.

Rothko played with color theory, in the modern art era, which represented originality in color palettes (or the colors by themselves...it stood as an idea). Lichenstein's work focuses more on manipulating a technique ( for example: bende dots) to create a different look that separates his work from modern art. Postmodern art abandons the notion of' original conepts' and runs toward advancing conceptual art/ technical aspects of art.
